Legacy Windows emulator games

Game Pack 2

Berzerk and Defender for the legacy Windows Microtan emulator.

These were two more games that I found and converted. Defender came from a four-page hexadecimal dump that my sister found in her loft, so I hoped there might be more there.

They run in the legacy Windows emulator and are also included in the full historic download.

Berzerk

Escape from the robot-controlled complex. Shoot the robots in each room to reach the exit. Don’t touch the electrified walls or take too long, otherwise a bouncing ball thing will come to get you. You always shoot in the direction you last ran.

Controls: Switch to the hexadecimal keypad as soon as the program starts. Use the cursor keys to move and Space to fire.

Kill the aliens to protect the humans. If an alien carries a human to the top of the screen, the human becomes a mutant. The blobs at the top are radar; catch falling humans for bonus points.

Controls: Left Shift is thrust, Left Ctrl fires, Up and Down move vertically, Right reverses direction and Left fires a smart bomb.
