An extremely popular home computer with excellent software support. It came with Commodore BASIC V2, unchanged from the PET, which had no built-in support for the graphics or sound.
The disk interface was compatible with the VIC-20 and extremely slow—some games companies’ custom tape routines were faster. The cartridge port was used for programs and additional hardware, including a sound sampler and an FM sound box with a music keyboard.
